I was delighted to see a mention of Bunny Glamazon in the New York Times today. The Arts section profiles a piece of installation art at the Venice Biennale by Mika Rottenberg, "NoNoseKnows," which features Bunny.
The large woman with the fecund nose — played by one of Ms. Rottenberg’s outlandish regulars, a 6-foot-4 fetish performer who calls herself Bunny Glamazon — comes off as a Western overseer even more enslaved by the system than the workers she outranks, like a queen bee locked into the heart of a hive.
I met Bunny while doing a segment for Playboy TV's "Sexcetera." I'm 6'1", but Bunny dwarfed me. For one scene, we had Bunny slam me against a wall. I've never felt so small.
Glad to see she's still in business!
Hey! Buy my new short story, THE TUMOR: "This is one of the weirdest, smartest, most disturbing things you will read this year."
Opines A.O. Scott:
"The movie is neither one of those things. It dabbles in romantic comedy and splashes around in melodrama, but the one thing it can’t be — the thing the novel so trashily and triumphantly is — is pornography. Ms. Taylor-Johnson’s sex scenes are not that much different from other R-rated sex scenes, though there are more of them and more hardware is involved. You know the routine: an arched neck, some curled toes, a buttock here, a breast there, a wisp of pubic hair, a muffled moan, another Beyoncé song. Maybe a riding crop for variety."
I finished The Fetish Alphabet 12 years after I started it, and the final installment is online today: "Z Is for Zombies" (because obviously). It's about a couple who build a McMansion underground (inspired by these nuclear-proof luxury condos, I suppose), and a zombie apocalypse, and a weird sex game they play involving the undead.
"'I have no heart,' she moaned seductively. The front of her peach silk robe fell open, and her mouth gaped. As he watched, she slid on to the floor and waved her arms up and down like she was making snow angels in weather about which they’d forgotten. 'I am undead,' she called and spread apart her legs."
I based the "no heart" comment off a series of heart tests that I had done a few years ago, during one of which I told the tech that he may not be able to find my heart because I was a zombie. I have a video of my heart beating around here somewhere.
It's nice to be done with the alphabet. Finishing things is always a good thing.
Alex lifted the turkey carcass out of the trash can and paused. It was one o'clock in the morning and cold. The house was still and silent. His testicles recoiled in the frigid air. He stuck his hand inside the dead animal. There was a little bit of stuffing left. It would do. Upstairs, Donna pretended not to hear her husband making love to yesterday's dinner not far from the garden shed.

"State regulators cited a Bay Area-based adult film company over workplace safety violations, assessing fines of more than $78,000.
Cal-OSHA opened an investigation into San Francisco-based Kink Studios, which runs a network of sites, in August, in response to a complaint filed by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
The foundation's complaint related to a July 31 shoot involving actress Cameron Bay, who tested positive for HIV shortly thereafter, bringing filming in the adult industry briefly to a halt. The complaint said the production involved acts 'considered high-risk for the transmission of HIV.'"
"The interview is in Russian, but you don’t need Google Translate to see what everyone’s so offended by. It’s the accompanying photograph of Zhukova sitting atop a black woman chair by provocative ’60s pop artist Allen Jones. Jones’ forniphilic chairs were a source of controversy during the height of their popularity in the ’60s, though it’s Buro who have amped up the cringe factor by selecting one of the few pieces that uses a woman of color."
"We started in Orange County, California, naturally. Robert, a 70 year-old, showed off his new 'femskin.' He had been adding his own hair clippings to make the vagina more realistic. When he looked in the mirror at 'Sherry,' he felt he had taken possession of a more beautiful woman than he could otherwise hope to date. 'It’s very difficult to date when you have this to come home to. Crazy, huh?' Yes."
